I'm definitely here for intellectual influencers and making books cool again. But there has to be joy! Reading for pleasure (whether that be escapism, emotion, growth) has be central to this idea - it's not a penance.
This was my first response too, for sure. But I was interested in James’ idea that no one likes running to begin with, however a lot of people eventually grow to love it. Given that reading is such a hard sell at the moment with so many ways to entertain ourselves that are easier on the brain, I am interested if this approach could reignite a love of reading for some people!
